Sister Outsider Study Circle

from $40.00

In this Sister Outsider Study Circle, we will:

  • meet weekly for eight gatherings (not recorded) on Sundays at 1pm ET beginning on July 13 and ending on September 7 (skipping Labor Day weekend) to discuss portions of Audre Lorde’s Sister Outsider

  • read (or listen to) 25-35 pages of Audre Lorde’s between each gathering, though completing the reading won't be required for participants to show up and contribute

  • receive written recaps after each gathering, including the reflection, discussion, or creative prompts that we used as well as any resources that are shared during our time together

  • check in to ground ourselves and get to know each other more deeply at the beginning of each gathering

  • participate in an open & guided discussions on the reading for each week

  • engage in 10 minutes of solo reflection/creative time guided by a prompt

  • connect authentically and build community that we can hopefully carry forward beyond the container of this study circle.

I’m so excited to connect more with the LIT LIB community through this offering!

We have 15 total spots available for this Study Circle. We have four supported seats available, with preference going to those who are already LIT LIB subscribers (free or paid). Our seats are offered on a first-come basis.

“If there is one thing that I have to teach in any course…it is this: That human beings can feel, have a right to feel, and must if we are going to continue existing. I think we all are poets, I think we all were poets and have been trained away from it. It became too costly for us.”

– Audre Lorde
